SMATVA is a non-profit association in the St. Margaret's Bay area of Nova Scotia. Our club was started in 1997 and has approximately 100 active members to date. Our clubhouse will accommodate up to 160 people depending on type of function.

ALL CLUB MEETINGS ARE ON THE THIRD MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH (NO MEETINGS IN JULY OR AUGUST). CLUBHOUSE ADDRESS IS #15 STATION ROAD, HEAD OF ST. MARGARETS BAY, HIGHWAY #3, SMALL SCHOOL HOUSE ON THE HILL.

Some of our main functions include maintaining existing trails and building new ones while always respecting and preserving the natural woodlands and waterways. In May 2002, we built a bridge that we affectionately dubbed the 'Fixed Link'.
Have a look in our photo gallery for pictures of that fun day !

Along with projects like the 'Fixed Link', we also organize
Fun Runs, Poker Rallys and a dance each year to raise funds. Some of the monies raised are used to make charitable donations to local groups and organizations.

As our name depicts, all of our activities are focussed around Safety Minded ATVing. Our club now has two certified ATV safety instructors and we will be offering training to ATV operators in 2007, both the general public and club members (special rate for members).

SMATVA is one of the 5 founding clubs that formed ATVANS
(All Terrain Vehicle Association of Nova Scotia) in 1997.
The other 4 clubs involved in the evolution of ATVANS are:

St. Margaret's Snowmobile/ATV Club
Kings County ATV Club
Colchester Five Islands ATV Club
Pictou County ATV Club
